App Store Screenshot Sizes
This reference was checked against Apple documentation on October 11, 2026, after App Store Connect renamed iPhone buckets by hardware class and added iPhone Duo. Verify the linked Apple specification before a release because accepted dimensions can change.
Accepted iPhone Portrait Dimensions
Common App Store Connect display buckets accept these portrait dimensions:
- iPhone Duo (outer display): 1398 x 2034
- iPhone Duo (inner display): 2007 x 2853
- iPhone with Dynamic Island (large display): 1260 x 2736, 1290 x 2796, or 1320 x 2868
- iPhone with Face ID (large display): 1284 x 2778 or 1242 x 2688
- iPhone with Dynamic Island (medium display, required): 1179 x 2556 or 1206 x 2622
- iPhone with Face ID (medium display): 1170 x 2532, 1125 x 2436, or 1080 x 2340
- iPhone with Home Button (large display): 1242 x 2208
- iPhone with Home Button (medium display): 750 x 1334
iPhone Duo screenshots are required from April 2027 for apps built with the iOS 27.1 SDK or later. Landscape uses the corresponding transposed dimensions. App Store Connect validates exact pixels, not the marketing name of the phone shown inside the composition.
Accepted iPad Portrait Dimensions
For an app that runs on iPad, Apple requires an appropriate iPad screenshot set. Current accepted dimensions include:
- 13-inch: 2064 x 2752 or 2048 x 2732
- 11-inch: 1488 x 2266, 1668 x 2420, 1668 x 2388, or 1640 x 2360
Upload a separate optional set when the interface or composition differs by display class.
File Requirements
Apple accepts from one to ten screenshots per display size and localization. Still images may be PNG, JPEG, or JPG and must use an accepted portrait or landscape dimension. PNG screenshots must be opaque and cannot contain an alpha channel.

A Safer Export Workflow
- 1.Select the exact App Store display classes required by the release.
- 2.Review the composition at every selected aspect ratio.
- 3.Export at each target's native dimensions.
- 4.Inspect pixel dimensions and PNG opacity.
- 5.Upload one sample to each App Store Connect slot before producing the complete set.
The export canvas and the mockup device are separate choices. A composition can show one phone model while the downloaded canvas uses an accepted store dimension.
